Brunch at Lacroix dazzles with volume and variety. There is plenty to enjoy for sure. The cooking at the restaurant currently is nothing like what it was in Chef Levin's days and not remotely like the cuisine of Chef Lacroix. I don't mean that as a compliment compliment.

I am glad to hear you had a wonderful time at Lacroix. I am a cook in the kitchen of Lacroix and prepared many of the items you tasted during your experience. One quick note, I was reading your entry on and off while I was doing something else but one little thing i noticed, you stated it was white bread on the foie gras ice cream sandwiches. It is thinly sliced brioche that is then lightly soaked in butter and toasted off.
