<description>Hi Gastronomer! I really enjoy your posts.

Passion fruit is a great natural alternative with many benefits for the body, especially if you are looking for balancing your diet with high fibers, lowering cholesterol levels and reducing blood pressure. However, if I have to select between purple versus yellow, there is no question that &lt;a href="http://www.globalfusion.us/Passion-Fruit-Fiber-p-16216.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;yellow passion fruit&lt;/a&gt; is richer and more nutritive.

As far as I understand, one of the biggest issues in the US (from the supply standpoint of passion fruit) is the seasonality of this crop. Asian countries have achieved successful production levels, but for a lower quality produce compare to their peers in South America and other tropical countries. That can explain the high price of yellow passion fruit in international health food markets.

Would love to hear your perspective on that.

Kind regards,

Augusto</description>
