foodhoe - I felt a bit like a 40-something at the opera wearing the pashmina, but feeling old is better than feeling irritated. A feast indeed, my brother is a keeper.

As far as I’m concerned, strong drinks are just as good as cortisone cream to stop the itching!

Actually, yes! If I get stuck outdoors at a restaurant or barbecue and find myself getting chewed up, I just rub a little beer/vodka/whatever I’m drinking on my bites. It takes the sting out, so I can forget about the bites and not make them worse by scratching. Your martini might have been a bit sweet for that, but now you know. : )

awww, what a cool brother! I love cheesy poofs and am impressed by the offer of a pashmina for an elegant bug repellant… crispy suckling pig, goat cheese, parmesan emulsion, whisky ice cream… what a feast for a gastronomer!

I find it amusing that the napoleon looks like ham — as if it were thick Canadian bacon.
