I think the problem must have been those CCA kids. Those people are incompetent. Most chefs in SF's best restaurants won't hire CCA grads!

Also, I have a pack of Benton's bacon in my freezer, for some BLTs tomorrow. It's really good, but REALLY smokey.

Burgermeister sucks. Next time you're in SF, try the burger at Spruce. Better than Rouge (though not quite Palena's in DC), IMO. Also, never got the big deal over June's jams.

Wine only enhances the dining experience if you can afford it! If price is not an issue, though, I definitely think it does.

Since the wristbands didn't work,I hope that doesn't mean you ended up having to pay! I'm glad to read something positive about it and to see pictures of the food. Looks like you had a good plan and ate well.

So jealous - sounds amazing!

What a great event! Hang on, I'll rephrase that - what a great event it would be if everyone could've got a taste of all that food! Shame there were so many unhappy people. But seriously, all that food looks amazing!

There was a thread on Serious Eats the other day about the most Serious Eaters people know -- their bottomless pit husbands, the coworker who eats 10 lbs of meat, etc. After reading this post, I'm fairly certain that you, my friend, are a serious eater as well! Bravo! Job very well done. :)
