Great review! I wasn't impressed by their tonkotsu ramen when I first went, but I keep hearing the non-traditional stuff is better like the tom yum or tan tan. I'll have to try those someday.

Nice. I saw this place but wasn't sure how it'd turn out, plus I also read GoRamen's not-so-good review. Like you say, though, we all secretly wish Pasadena dining scene would get better, and having a decent ramenya is definitely a step in the right direction.

If we have to rank them, when we eat should we care more about authenticity, or taste?

Thanks, Catherine, for going ahead to ck this out since I try to avoid Old Town.

HNYr's 2 U 2!

I suspect we'll try this in a few days. On Saturday at the Dumpling House in Arcadia, Iain demonstrated his willingness to eat any and all noodles (tossed with hot chili sauce? No problem!). He kept demanding more. So I think you've pointed us toward a solution to his bottomless maw.
