This is my 1st time on your blog and read some of Vietnamese Recipe and I love it cz it’s exactly what I do at home (just try to compare). I just wonder you are not Vietnamese at all but how you have very good sources of Viet food.

Graham - The Astronomer studies plasma physics at Caltech. Three years down, three more years to go until he gets his Ph.D.
What’s the Alabama connection? Just curious since I live in Talladega, AL.

Long time no see! I really enjoyed the reviews of Birmingham BBQ. I have a question about the photos on the blog. The “pictures are so pretty” as Mike Lantrip wrote in one of his songs. Anything special you all do to get them to look so clean?

Glad you found the blog! I definitely can’t take any credit for the photos (nor for anything else on the site these days, besides having a good appetite that allows us to order more food…). Anyway, Cathy’s just a really good photographer
and she has a nice camera (Nikon D90–we’d definitely recommend it or the newer D7000 if you are in the market for a DSLR) and a lens that lets in a lot of light (f/1.8). Hope all is well.
